Italian artist Giampolo Gentili aims to combine the point of view that can be owned only a photographer and the ability of interpreting the reality, of an artist.
Wishing to create an artwork from his life, to realize unique works, he explores deeply using the techniques developed by him and without following definite limits, during his realist internal route.
Endless courses, journeys and discoveries between Italy, Turkey and Greece. Whole Aegean region is a natural workshop for Gentili’s creativity.
Covering art with esthetics unduly attached to reality and interpreted simultaneously…
Is there a better framework than Antik Cisterna Exhibition Hall simply showing that antique world is nested in Istanbul’s modern spirit and offering the traces of a 1500-year old history, to hold such a special exhibition?
The exhibition can be visited by art lovers between November 14 – December 09.

Reflecting his experience obtained from artistic works he performed in different disciplines since his undergraduate education, in the works of his personal exhibition, Artist Murat Küçükkayalı meets art lovers, with his original art style.
In the exhibition composed of Murat Küçükkayalı’s painting and ceramic works up to date; art lovers will find the opportunity to see that plain drawings combine with moving forms, and tissues and colours with each other, in the works reflecting slices of different lives.
The artist defines his artistic point of view as “having the vision of performing works that move forward infinity from all aspects at the beginning point of unlimited power ready for change and transformation”. Representing these ideas and esthetics in his works, with flexion, bending and closings, he tries to define the own status of formations and restrictions to be formed by future experiences, in the presence of creation.
The exhibition called “Time Tunnel” may be visited between October 3 –Novenber 11, at Antik Hotel Antik Cisterna Exhibition Hall built on a 1500-year old Byzantine cistern.
Murat KÜÇÜKKAYALI
He graduated from Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Ceramics. He has opened personal exhibitions in Bursa and Istanbul, participated in many national and international (ceramics, sculpture, painting, photography) symposiums, workshops, biennales and mixed exhibitions and obtained awards. His works are owned by certain collectors (in the collection of Eczacıbaşı Vitra Art Studio…)
Other projects:
He has been the Art Consultant of HayalET Production- ERA Kreatif and, Art Director and Vice Director of Photography for cinema films, short films and advertisement films.
He has been working as the art consultant of Antik Cisterna exhibition hall in Istanbul, for years.
This year, he has organised Sagalassos art symposium and workshop. His domestic and foreign exhibition, symposium and workshop projects will continue for 2015-2016.
